Facebook to simplify its privacy policy

In an effort to put an end to the never-ending personal security issues, the social networking giant Facebook is preparing some changes to its privacy settings that will simplify its policies.
Facebook has been constantly carving out new policies to address the privacy issues over the time, but none of them could impress its more-than 500 million user base.
A new posting on the Facebook Site Governance blog said, "At Facebook, we are constantly developing new experiences and features to help you control your information. Some of our recent work includes simplified privacy settings and publisher privacy controls that let you select your audience every time you post something on Facebook. However, there is more to controlling your information than just settings."
"It's also important that you understand how information is used and what your choice are. That's why the privacy team took on a new project and applied Facebook's unconventional, innovative spirit to develop a new privacy policy written for regular people," the blog post stated.

A new company, called Square is turning the credit card processing industry on its ear with an application available at the iTunes store. Available for the iPad, the iPhone and iPod Touch, Square enables you to take credit card payments for, well, just about anything.
Once you register for the free Square app they will send you a card reader that plugs into your mobile device and then, let the swiping begin. With no contracts or monthly fees. Receipts are sent electronically and you can track your sales all in one place. Transaction fees are settled nightly, instead of monthly and it’s available for use by anyone that would like to be able to take credit cards, not just businesses.

Microsoft designs application to construct a Tactile touchscreen
A display that utilizes technical tricks so as to convince the users regarding them touching the ridges, bumps and textures of a displayed image, popularly known as "tactile" touchscreen is to be constructed with the design of the new application of Microsoft.

The experts still have not confirmed to the feasibility of the idea of Microsoft's design, proposing the production of a real texture using pixel- sized shape- memory plastic cells. The presence of conventional touchscreens is known to have limitations wherein they can be noisy and a buzz can be heard due to the frequencies being in the audio range.

"Creating well-defined bumps on a touch surface is in many ways the holy grail of text entry on touch devices because it would enable touch typing at much faster speeds than on touchscreens today," New Scientist quoted Patrick Baudisch, a display interaction expert at the University of Potsdam in Germany, as saying.

Phones of the future Nokia 2030

This junior project focuses on the branding of products, and this (fictionally) shows how a Nokia® cell phone would look like in 2030.
The process involves capturing features and elements on existing products that represent the brand. These elements are then applied to the newly designed product for this project.

The Future Of MP3 Player

Keeping your music with you wherever you go is easier now than ever before, but in case you forget your MP3 player on a trip or at the gym, this design could save you from boredom. The Skinny Player, designed by Chih-Wei Wang and Shou-His Fu, sticks to the skin just like an adhesive bandage and eliminates the need for holsters, cases and carriers.
